THE MISSION AND VISION
Jon and Rachael are seeking to serve God in Germany. Germany is one of the most influential countries in all of Europe - politically, economically, and culturally. And yet, the population of people there who claim to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ hovers just above 2% in a city of 83 million. East Germany, as a whole, is considered to be one of the least religious places in the world, making this one of the most strategic, yet unreached, regions. The scars of past wars and division are still evident in this city, full of people who need to know the hope available to them, through the love of God.
Serving as a cultural hub of Europe, Germany as a whole has always been drawn together by a love of the arts and the power of music. Rachael hopes to be able to use her artistic and creative skills as well as her experience in administering theatre camps to help draw both children and their families closer to the love of Christ and Christian communities. Jon desires to be able to use his counseling skill to minister to individuals who are struggling to find hope in a world that can seem increasingly dark with each passing day, pointing to the hope available in Christ along the way.
GREATER EUROPE MISSION
In order to be able to accomplish this God-given mission, Jon & Rachael have chosen to partner with the organization Greater Europe Mission. Greater Europe Mission shares the common goal of reaching Europe by multiplying disciples and growing Christ's Church as well as joining God in expanding His kingdom through all peoples of Europe to the world. Greater Europe Mission has a rich history of equipping missionaries to develop local Christian leaders who can then carry on the disciple-making process long into the future.
